Have you ever considered the type of wedding?

There are several different types of weddings that are non-traditional but are becoming more popular. For example, you could consider an elopement, micro wedding, or a sequel wedding. Eloping might not seem like the best option, but it is an option. Eloping is a marriage without the gathering of family or friends. There’s no huge ceremony or celebration, just you and your spouse. A Micro wedding is a smaller than normal size wedding that contains about 20 – 50 guests. It’s not the big traditional wedding, but if you find the right venue, you could make it your dream wedding and reception. A sequel wedding is first having a small ceremony. Some call it a mini-mony. Then, later you host a bigger ceremony and it would be just that, a sequel.

The fun part about each of these different kinds of weddings is they can be personalized to your liking. It can be customized just for you, whether you’d only want a micro wedding or you chose to elope and plan for your sequel wedding in the future. These types of ceremonies are interchangeable, and you can work around them however you’d like. There are no limits!

Here are 3 safety components that you can factor into your wedding

1. Add virtual interactive activities in your wedding.

When you are planning for your reception, ad some fun activities that guests, who may not be able to attend, can do from home. For example, you could do an Instagram live video and play marriage related trivia games. This will give your guests at home a feeling of actually being a part of the celebration. A virtual component works because you don’t have to worry about guests missing out on your big day, and of course it’s safe.

2. Rethink your idea of space.

While looking for the perfect venue for your wedding during a pandemic, you might want to rethink your idea of space. Every venue is not made for a small gathering, and when bringing a small gathering into a big space, the space can look empty. So, what should you do? Take some time to find a smaller space or setting that is perfect for you. Having a shorter guest list means that you’ll need an intimate space to make the celebration even more special. It also helps when considering social distancing. You would not have to deal with the difficulties of planning a seating chart to fit a large group of people all while remaining 6 feet apart.  You could even get creative with your seating depending on the guest count. Try this, instead of seating your guests traditionally with only two aisles side by side sitting straight forward, have the two aisles curve around the alter. You could even go as far as creating a third aisle. Everyone will get a good look and will be spaced out enough for their safety.

3. Get custom masks and sanitizers made for your guests.

Custom made sanitary gifts might just be the way to go. These gifts are great features for guests to enjoy because not only are you thinking of them, you are also thinking of their safety. For example, you could get printed masks that will have you and your spouse’s name with the date of your wedding on them. These are so much fun and will be a great way to get your guests involved in taking the necessary safety measures, but still enjoy themselves.
